YouTube TV Blackout? Here's Who Still Has Your Fix (and Deals!)
So, YouTube TV pulled a fast one, huh? Dropped Disney-owned channels like they're hot potatoes. ABC, ESPN, FX, National Geographic... gone. Just like that. No "Monday Night Football"? Seriously?
First, let's be real: this is ALWAYS about the money. "Contract dispute," they call it. Give me a break. It's two corporate giants playing chicken with our entertainment. We're just roadkill on the information superhighway.
But fine, whatever. I need to watch college ball this weekend.
The Streaming Savior Squad
Okay, so YouTube TV crapped the bed. Where can you watch this stuff now?
Fubo's apparently stepping up. ESPN, ABC, FX, Nat Geo, even the SEC Network. They're dangling a "free trial" and 30 bucks off the first month. Deluxe plan, Elite plan... sounds like a used car dealership. But hey, if it gets me my football fix, I'm listening.
Then there's Sling TV. Sling Orange has the ESPN trifecta (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3). ABC's "available in select markets," which probably means if you live in East Bumblefrick, Ohio, you're SOL. They've got these weird "Sling Passes" – day, weekend, week. Like renting a movie, but for live TV. I guess that's... something.
And then there's ESPN Unlimited. Or ESPN Select. Because of course there are. $29.99 a month for Unlimited, $12.99 for Select. And what is Select? I don't know and frankly I don't care anymore.
The Mouse Always Wins... Doesn't It?
Here's what's really annoying. Disney owns half of these freaking channels! They're basically holding the content hostage to squeeze more money out of us.
The official line is always some BS about "fair value" and "protecting viewers." Yeah, right. They expect us to believe this nonsense, and honestly...

What's missing from YouTube TV right now? A freaking laundry list:
* ABC: Local affiliates, primetime, sports.
* ESPN suite: The whole damn family.
* ACC Network, SEC Network (important, dammit).
* FX, Freeform, Nat Geo.
* Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior. (Okay, I can live without these.)
Popular content affected? Everything. Basically, if it's good, it's gone.
This whole thing feels like a giant middle finger to the consumer. We're paying for a service, and suddenly, BAM! Channels vanish because some suits in boardrooms can't play nice. Are we just supposed to bend over and take it?
So, What's the Real Story?
Look, I'm not gonna lie. I'm pissed. This whole streaming landscape is a fragmented, overpriced mess. You need five different subscriptions just to watch what used to be on basic cable. And now, even those subscriptions can be yanked away at any moment because of corporate squabbles. It's a shell game, and we're always the losers. The worst part is, they know we'll keep paying, keep switching, keep chasing the content. They've got us right where they want us, and it ain't pretty. If you're looking for alternatives, here's How to stream ESPN, ABC and more without YouTube TV.
